Sean Lee hopes to return for the winner-take-all, NFC East game next Sunday. The middle linebacker has missed the past two games with a sprained ligament in his neck.
He said he has made significant improvement since he was injured in the game against the Bears on Dec. 9, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones offered hope after Sunday's victory over the Commanders.
"I visited with him before the game," Jones said. "I just visited with him again here, and it’s certainly possible. It’s a technical thing. It something that he very easily could get cleared, and he’s ready to play if he’s cleared."
Lee missed two games earlier this season with a hamstring injury.
"I have to find a way to stay on the field," Lee said Sunday.
