The blows to the defensive line continue for the Cowboys. Jason Hatcher left with a stinger in the second half, Nick Hayden was in-and-out of the rotation with back issues and Marvin Austin exited in the first half with a back injury.
Hatcher suffered a stinger in the Denver game on Oct. 6, but said Sunday’s was worse. However, Hatcher said it wouldn’t keep him out next week at New Orleans.
“I’ll be OK,” he said. “During the season, you can never let them fully heal. So once you get hit on it, it’s going to keep coming back. So it’s just one of those things you’ve got to manage and protect.”
Hayden also didn’t believe his back issues were serious, saying: “I’m good. Just tired.”
The extent of Austin’s injury is unknown. The Cowboys signed him on Oct. 21 to add more depth to an already depleted defensive line.
