What would you consider overpaying? I don't anticipate him getting more than a 1-2 yr prove it type deal. He has to prove he can stay healthy and perform on a consistent basis.

With the salary cap going up and corner being a premium position, I think he gets a 4yr deal somewhere. I would have to look at average cornerback contracts, and you'll balk, but I think he will be paid in the top half of starting corners.

Nah, I don't think he'll get anywhere near that.

to be the 6th pick in the draft he should be more than solid should be a every year pro bowler and game changer.

Uh, no. Only a couple of players drafted at #6 in the last decade have been to two Pro Bowls (none more than two, and several like Claiborne have never made it).

At the very least yes, you do expect a top 10 pick to be a game changer.

Folks can believe whatever they want about numbers not telling the whole story, but there are dozens of players you can pick off the street as UDFA's that will give you this same production.

I sincerely believe someone will offer him 5.5-6 million a year. Someone will see the physical tools, see the cap increase, see his play this season at a premium position and project it. If he gets less than 5 million a year I will sincerely be shocked.

I guess we'll see. He's played well this year, but not so good that I could see him commanding that kinda coin.

Last year Brandon Browner got 5 mill/yr... Cary Williams got 6... Davon House got 6.2 and he had been a nickle back...

Didn't they have better performance histories? Well except Browner, he got suspended a couple of times. But still, those guys had been on the field and had built up enough film for teams to take a chance.

Mo's film up until this year, hasn't been great.

Cary Williams got eaten alive while in Philly and Davon House had never been anything but a nickle back. I just think teams will ignore the injuries for the potential and throw more money at him than he's worth. Corner is one of those positions where teams seem to overpay regularly. Look no further than the Dallas front office and the contract they offered Carr where they essentially bid against themselves.
