Here are notes compiled by the Cowboys' PR staff:
The Dallas defense forced four turnovers today, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries, and the offense did not turn the ball over. The club recorded a +4 turnover margin, the second game this season with a +4-or-better (+5 vs. N.Y. Giants, 9/8/13). Dallas’ two games this season with a +4-or-better turnover margin marks the 11th time Dallas had more than one game and the first time since 1999.
Dan Bailey hit two 53-yard field goals today. It was the second time this season and second time in his career he hit two 50-plus yard field goals in one game. His two games with multiple 50-yard field goals are the most in squad history.
For his career, Bailey has converted nine field goals of 50-plus yards, the most in team history. His second one today passed Rafael Septien, who had eight.
Bailey converted three field goal (adding a 44-yarder) tries today to give him 75 career field goals and tie Richie Cunningham for third all-time in team history.
Bailey also made three PATs today to give him 100 for his career and tie Billy Cundiff for eighth in team history. Bailey is the ninth Dallas kicker to reach 100 career PATs.
Dez Bryant caught three passes for 72 yards and two touchdowns today and now has 35 career scoring grabs to pass Miles Austin (34) for ninth in franchise history.
Bryant’s two scoring grabs today gave him his third multi-touchdown game this season (tied for second in a season in team history) and ninth in his career – also tied for second in team history.
Jakar Hamilton made his NFL debut today.
Jason Hatcher’s sack today gave him 23.0 for his career and allowed him to pass Leon Lett and Bill Gregory (22.5 each) for 18th in team history.
Jeff Heath made his first career start today, starting at safety in place of J.J. Wilcox (knee).
Sean Lee picked off two passes in today’s game. It was his second career two-interception game. He returned one of his picks 74 yards for the sixth-longest interception return for Dallas since 1991 – as far back that can be researched today. It is also the longest by a club linebacker – as best can be researched. His 74 interception return yards are a single-game career-high.
Through the first eight games this season, Lee has four interceptions – the most by a Dallas Cowboy through the first eight games of a season since Anthony Henry (cornerback) had five in 2007.
Tony Romo completed 14-of-30 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns today. He now has 27,953 passing yards to pass Craig Morton (27,908) and Ken Stabler (27,938) for 51st in NFL history.
Romo’s three touchdown tosses today gave him at least one in each of the previous 21 games and establish a club record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass.
Romo now has 195 career scoring throws to pass Bob Griese (192) and and Ken Stabler (194) for 43rd in NFL history.
Romo had a passer rating of 102.9 today. It was his 53rd career game with a rating above 100.0, extending his club record.
Terrance Williams finished today’s game with two catches for 64 yards and a 60-yard touchdown. His scoring grab gave him a touchdown catch in his fourth straight game. Williams’ streak of four straight games is the longest streak by a club rookie in franchise history.
Williams’ 60-yard touchdown catch was his second scoring catch of 60 yards-or-more this season. He is the first Dallas Cowboy with multiple 60-plus yard touchdown catches in a season since Terrell Owens in 2008.
Williams now has 26 catches for 44 yards and four touchdowns through eight games of his rookie season. All-time among Dallas Cowboys rookies, Williams receptions are tied for 11th in a season, while his yards are eighth and touchdowns are tied for seventh.
