Lee is not going to be moved.

He might be Latin. The MLB in a Tampa2 is so important, which is why I'm guessing you are saying what you are saying, but if Lee can not manage to stay healthy you might have to move him. You simply can't afford to have a different guy in that position all the time. It's possible.

He is not getting hurt because of posistion. He's getting hurt because of the way he plays the game. All out on every play. If he's far from the play he's going that extra mile to get in it. If its near him he's all in it. Sometimes that way of playing the game has consequences. Like Jerry said in his interview. Just been some bad luck reguarding Lee.

I agree but at the end of the day, it still comes to the same thing. You gotta be able to have consistency at the MLB position, especially in the Tampa2. I could see that driving a decision for possibly drafting a LB.

I think Carter struggled because of new defense, heck all our players struggle not just Carter. He will do better this year, he stayed healthy last year now time to get comfortable in defense

If they draft a LBer it will be a weakside LBer. If Lee was to get hurt i think they know they have a capable backup in Hollomon. If Dallas was going to move Lee i believe they wouldve done it already and had Hollomon step up.

there is a guy named holloman that can also push him (IMO)

This. Unless they draft a LB early, I think Holloman will compete with Carter at WLB and the loser will move to SLB.

I reviewed Holloman in the final game of the season when he was playing MLB. He was better than I remembered. It was a good performance for a guy that was primarily a Safety in college and had never practiced or played MLB until after Lee got injured.

The SLB spot is if much less importance in this defense and is off the field in the NIckel.

I see what you are saying but I think that the Cowboys probably don't really know, just yet, if Lee is the answer. I don't think they had enough to really know if they needed to move him or not, prior to last season. It is troubling, at least to me, how Lee seems to continue to sustain injury. I do hope this changes but at this point, I think you have to consider that it may not. I would not be surprised to see the Cowboys draft a couple of LBs in this draft.

I agree on if the injuries continue. But i think Dallas showed they want him to be the MLB when they gave him that contract. At the same time saving themself from a bad deal with them incentives for playing.

I would actually consider moving Holloman to MLB and slide Lee over...that may prolong lee's career

I'm not certain that it makes that much difference in wear and tear at WLB vs MLB in this defense.

Marinelli rarely required Ware to set the edge in run defense last season. With Ware crashing down or rushing wide most of the time, when it was a run, the WLB often had the responsibility to cover up for the WDE not setting the edge. This ended up with Carter taking on blocks from OLinemen often.

Also, when Kiffin/Marinelli were in Tampa bay, I believe that the WLB was always the team leader in tackles.

I have heard that Broaddus says the Cowboys do not like Holloman at Will.

I'll be keeping an eye out for Ryan Shazier and Howard Jones in tonite's draft. They've both had visits to Valley Ranch and should rightfully be looked upon as possible competition for some LB spots. There's surely room for improvement on the outside. Now, of Sean Lee is assured of his spot in the middle but his injury vulnerability surely casts doubt upon how long he'll last this year. It should only be considered due diligence if any doubtful circumstances at LB were to be dutifully taken into consideration.

I have heard that Broaddus says the Cowboys do not like Holloman at Will.

It's difficult to interpret what Broaddus says without hearing it yourself.

He sometimes says things that he's heard from the Cowboy and at other times he says things that are his own opinion. It's a very subtle difference, but you can usually figure out which is which if you listen closely.

Many people were reporting that the Cowboys were going to focus on making Bruce Carter a pass rusher based on comments by Broaddus. I went back and listened and he was just saying that "he" would like to see them do it.

In the past when Broaddus gives "his" opinion, it it usually wrong but if he reports that the Cowboys are indeed planning to do something, then he is often correct.

Agree, and I did not listen to the audio where he supposedly says it.
