Absolutely delicious! My favorite way to cook is nice and simple, wrap it up in foil with some butter, lemon, garlic, some onions and whatever veggies you have on hand, and a few spices, then throw it on the grill. Yum!

Redfish and Red Snapper are different. Redfish is a type of Croaker and typically found closer to shore and estuaries. Red Snapper are found in deeper water usually around reefs and rigs. Both are mild, white meat fish, but snapper is a bit firmer in texture. They do not taste the same either.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is poised for a long football career. After it, though, he might have a career in fishing.

Prescott reeled in about a 30-pound red fish on Tuesday in south Louisiana, his high school coach, Rodney Guin, said. Guin posted a picture of Prescott and his brother hoisting up their impressive catches on his Facebook page.

There’s no question Prescott is an avid fisherman. He went fishing during the Cowboys’ bye week last season, and caught a 7-pound bass the day before the Cowboys drafted him.

Snapper is in the grouper family, redfish is a drum. They aren't good to eat that big because they will most likely have worms

So, serious question, I live a long way from anywhere I can catch Red Fish, if I happened to end up in a place I had the opportunity if I bought a standard out of state license can I I keep them? Let's say Florida or another southeastern state, do I need to buy a tag or anything? I've seen people catch them on the fishing shows I'm addicted to and it looks fun.

Make sure and check the State's laws, here in Texas you would need a saltwater license and are allowed to keep 3 redfish and they must be between 20"-28". Each state will be different on numbers and sizes. There are some places that do have freshwater redfish and size limits may be different. Reds are fun to catch and they are delicious! Good luck!
