Defensive end DeMarcus Ware was not at his best against the Giants last Sunday as he continued to play through a sore quad that forced him to miss three games earlier in the season.
Ware, who says he’s 97 percent, plans to push through the short week to play in Sunday’s game against the Raiders and then hopefully get some rest during the 11 day break before Dec. 9 matchup against the Bears.
“I’m 97 percent now from last week,” Ware said. “Just going out there and playing and getting used to playing again.”
Ware recorded just two tackles and no pressures against the Giants.
He said he feels better and hopes to be more of a factor against the Raiders.
Ware is third on the team with five sacks and is in jeopardy of failing to reach double digit sacks for the first time since his rookie year in 2005.
Defensive tackle Jason Hatcher leads the Cowboys with nine sacks and defensive end George Selvie has six.
