Rookie linebacker DeVonte Holloman had a 75-yard interception return in the Hall of Fame Game, but that's not what he was thinking about Tuesday. It was a 15-yard penalty for unnecessary roughness after he hit sliding Dolphins quarterback Pat Devlin.

"That was a big thing on my grade sheet, just a stupid error on my part, and it won’t happen again," Holloman said

Coach Jason Garrett called out Holloman during his press conference, a rarity. Devin ran for 14 yards on third-and-12, and then got another 15 yards tacked on because of Holloman's penalty. The Dolphins, though, turned it over on downs inside the Cowboys 10-yard line.

"He’s sliding feet first," Garrett said. "It’s the NFL. Quarterback gives it up. You can’t hit him. I don’t know if it was around his head or not, but you simply can’t hit the guy there."

Holloman expects to be fined by the NFL, though the chewing out by the coaches was worse.

"I’ll learn from it, and I won’t let it happen again," he said.
