Dez Bryant's back is feeling better, and he said his missing practice Wednesday and being limited Thursday was simply precautionary.

"I can roll," Bryant said Friday. "We were just watching the situation. Don’t want to go out there and do anything crazy. We’ve got a long season."

Bryant was hit in the back by Derrick Johnson on a 2-yard pass from Tony Romo on the fifth play of the game. He ended up playing 56 of 64 plays.

"No [long-term] concern," Bryant said. "...If you take a blow to the back the way I took a blow to the back, you’re probably going to feel the same way I feel."

Bryant injured his lower back in the season finale against Washington last year when he got pulled the wrong way. He said he did not see a back specialist in the off-season.

"It’s good," Bryant said. "It’s just something I had to ease up. It’s nothing major, nothing that I feel like will affect me in the long run, or throughout the season."

He had a full practice Friday.

"Dez did a lot more today," Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. "Didn’t do a whole lot the last couple days but did a lot more today and looks like he’s feeling better and better."

Bryant said he did not know if he would take a pain-killing injection Sunday, but he will play against the Rams.
