Cornerback Brandon Carr said it was time to change momentum when he made an interception in the end zone in the fourth quarter.

“They got enough big balls on us throughout the game that I felt it was time to go ahead and make a play and shift the momentum,” Carr said of his play against Jacoby Ford, with the Raiders trying to tie the game. “Credit to them. They made a lot of great plays. At the same time, I know our capabilities an those same plays, we can make those.”

The interception was Carr’s sixth with the Cowboys since he signed a $50.1 million free agent contract in 2012.

Carr described the play.

“Just playing off with some vision. Ford was running a streak down the sideline and just playing the ball,” he said. “He got the ball out of his hand quick the whole game. That was one of those cases. He just threw it up.”

Carr said he knew he could turn the momentum.

“They get paid just as much as we do, and they had a great game plan,” he said. “Those guys had a lot of confidence. They used their big, athletic size and ability out there and went high-point on the ball. But second half, we buckled down and changed the game.”
