1. Keep hope alive
The Cowboys have lost eight of their past nine games. Yet, they remain alive and only two games back in the NFC East. They’re even keeping quarterback Tony Romo off injured reserve in case they make a miracle run. But they have to get going in Washington, where the Commanders have won five straight. Quarterback Kirk Cousins has a 121.2 passer rating in the five home wins.

The Romo back for playoffs makes no sense.

2. Hello, Cassel … again
Matt Cassel is back in the starting lineup at quarterback, and the Cowboys have to believe he’ll be better the second time around. Cassel went 0-4 in his first stint ........yeah we hope he is better along with rest of team lol

3. Running game, please.......lets make it pretty please !
The Cowboys must establish their running game to take some pressure off Cassel and the passing game. That means Darren McFadden needs to have a rebound game after gaining only 11 yards on 10 carries against the Carolina Panthers

4. Takeaways, pretty please
The Cowboys rank last in takeaways in the league, and it continues to be a pressing issue for the defense. They have to create turnovers down the stretch, and everybody knows it. This is a good opportunity to get things going in the right direction, too, as the Commanders have 19 giveaways, including nine lost fumbles, this season.

5. Milestone watch
Tight end Jason Witten is two receptions shy of joining the 1,000-catch club. He would become only the second tight end to reach the milestone, joining Tony Gonzalez. And there’s a good chance Witten will do it in Washington. He has had at least two receptions in 184 of 202 career games, and has 108 career receptions against the Commanders.

If both are for TD's then that is good.
I will add another
6. be bold !! Take chances!

Giants lost but eagles won , so cowboys better go all out to win this game.

I hate to say it, but this is the kind of game my Commanders have been losing for decades now. Primetime, chance to set a tone, and take advantage of a team without it's starting qb. I would be pretty shocked if we won. More likely is that Cousins will fall into his bad behaviour throwing 2+ picks, and our running game will gain maybe 50yds.

Definitely the biggest things for you all is to get McFadden going, our run D is horrid. And keep JWitten in the game. I do think Breeland should be able to minimize Dez's impact, but wouldn't be stunned for him to haul in a big play at a crucial moment.

But it would be great to go out and kick your team's rear end!
For us to do that, Cousins has to be good Cousins, no INT's. Our D needs to limit your first down runs and be able to pressure Cassel. Someone in our running game will need to step up. I expect Chris Thompson to be the guy that will come through. Your front 7 won't let us run through the gaps.
