I like Brown. He's had a tough year but had some tough assignments and tough flags too. No excuses but I like his effort and he does not shy away from tackling. Hope he gets back to form.

WEAKNESSES On wrong end of entirely too many touchdowns over last three seasons (charged with 17 allowed on 162 targets). Handsy defender at the stem or top of the route. Doesn't trust his technique, and willing to grab and pull rather than work the feet. Charged with six pass interference penalties in 2015. Has some stall when transitioning forward from backpedal and when opening to run from press. Reads pass quickly, but burst to ball is limited. Passive tackler with inconsistent effort against the run.

He's a grabber. Always has been. I sometimes think some of these DB's should have all their fingers taped together or wear mittens. Not like they ever intercept the ball anyway.

He has horrible technique, the first thing he does is reach out and grab a receiver coming out of the break.........that will draw a flag nine times out of ten.

If we had a coaching staff that was worth a crap, they could work with his technique and fundamentals but that aint happening here. Who was the last DB that we had that actually got better the more time he was with this coaching staff? Yea, my point exactly.

I like him too. But then again, I’ve always favored the DB’s. Loved Renfro, Walls and Kevin Smith.

Anyways, it appears he gets caught looking in the backfield WAY too much and the receiver goes by him. He may have also been a benefactor of playing with Church and all the others they jettisoned this off season.

It’s unfortunate that’s for sure. I sure hope he can become that late round pick that turns it around and becomes a player for this defense.

I don't see why this is shocking. He had a decent year last season, but there were a lot of people (and some media) touting him as the next big thing during the offseason.

I never saw it last year. I saw a young nobody DB that got away with some things and he had some promise. He flew under the radar in the role he played last year.

You cannot hide for long as a starting perimeter corner in this league. They picked on him and he is reverting to the things that made him a low round draft pick.

Charlie Waters got killed early on in his career and finally found his spot at safety. Hope it happens with Brown at CB since he's not afraid to get physical. Kevin Smith owned even Jerry Rice before he took out his own achilles tendon. I loved to watching him work.

Kevin Smith, pre-injury with Deion would have been the most dominant DB tandem ever..

Even after the year, he was targeted by refs on ticky tack PI calls..

You are asking a lot for a pick as late as he was to ever be a starter. And chances are, if hamstrings had cooperated, he would not have been asked to do what he has done for so long. I think both Lewis and Awuzie would have drummed him down long ago if they were both available. They are simply better players.

They need to be careful with him and not totally scapegoat and ruin his confidence. He could be a great depth cornerback as he has already got starting experience.

Kevin was never the same after that tear. Opening game against the Giants.

That’s what I like about Brown. Great speed like Smith and comes up to make a play. But he needs to play spot duty. Don’t want to wreck his confidence.
