Receiver Miles Austin has practice full each of the past two days after missing the past two games with hamstring injury.
And while the Cowboys liked what they got from rookie Terence Williams and slot receiver Cole Beasley in his place last Sunday against the Broncos, coach Jason Garrett said Austin will return to being one of the featured receivers in the offense if he is healthy and ready to go against the Commanders Sunday.
Austin has 15 catches for 125 yards in three games this season. Williams has 16 catches for 282 yards, including a four-catch, 151-yard performance against the Broncos when he had an 82-yard touchdown.
Beasley has eight catches for 70 yards, including four for 47 yards and a touchdown against the Broncos.
"We feel great about Miles Austin when he’s healthy and going," Garrett said. "He’s a really, really good player both as an outside receiver and an inside guy. He was very productive before he got hurt a couple of weeks ago. So he’ll be the featured guy if he’s healthy and ready to go. We’ll see how he does the next couple of days. With those other guys as you saw the other day, we play our best offensive football when we’re attacking a lot of different ways and throwing the ball to a lot of different guys."
