The Cowboys had a good performance from their offensive line against the Chargers, coach Jason Garrett said.

“I thought they played well. We ran for nearly 6 yards a carry. We blocked a front that has traditionally rushed the passer well,” he said. “There are some matchup problems that those guys can present. Dwight Freeney is a great player, and has been a great player, in this league for a long time. I thought we blocked him well. I thought we blocked some of the other guys well. Tony had time to throw the football.”

Tony Romo was sacked three times, putting him at nine for the season. The Cowboys ran for 92 yards, including a 15-yard scramble by Romo.

It was the first game for right guard Brian Waters to start and play the entirety, and Garrett said the newly signed veteran held up well.

“He did. The whole game, didn’t seem to have any issues,” Garrett said. “Plays with that nasty demeanor that you like. He was good.”
