ARLINGTON -- For the first time Sunday since they opened their new stadium in 2009, the Dallas Cowboys finally won a home game against the New York Giants.

And no one is more happier than Cowboys tight end Jason Witten.

The Giants came into Sunday's contest 4-0 against the Cowboys in games played in Arlington. And that had become a sore spot with the Cowboys.

"Obviously every year is a new game, but it's good to get that monkey off your back,'' Witten said after Sunday's 36-31 win over the Giants at AT&T Stadium. "Any time you play a divisional opponent you've got to find ways to win, especially at home, so that felt good.

"They’re a good football team and we’ll see them again (on the road). But it did feel good.''
