Former NFL defensive back Dante Wesley has brought more than 30 of former NFL teammates and celebrity friends to Dallas-Fort Worth for his annual celebrity weekend that began with a star-studded golf tournament on Friday at the Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie.
Among the scheduled participants were Tim Brown, Willie Roaf, Spud Webb, Nancy Lieberman, Ladanian Tomlinson, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kenyon Martin, Jessie Armstead, Fred “the Hammer” Williamson and George Teague.
The main event for Wesley, a nine-year veteran who played with the Panthers, Bears, Lions and Patriots, is the youth football camp set for Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm at Valley Ridge Sports Complex in Cedar Hill. The camp is for ages 9-17 and costs $80.
Wesley, Teague, Roaf and many other NFL veterans will be on hand to lead drills and teach life skills to the participants.
The weekend concludes with a red carpat gala and white party at the Mansion in Cedar Hill.
