Rookie linebacker DeVonte Holloman learned his lesson, and fortunately for him, it wasn’t a more expensive lesson. The NFL will not fine Holloman for his unnecessary roughness penalty in the Hall of Fame Game, a league source said.
“I hadn’t heard I was fined, so I figured I wasn’t,” Holloman said. “That’s great news. I learned my lesson, even without the fine.”
Holloman hit Dolphins quarterback Pat Devlin while Devlin was sliding feet first. Holloman drew a 15-yard penalty and the ire of his coaches, but it could have been even worse.
