Linebacker Sean Lee was inactive for the Giants game last Sunday because of a hamstring injury but in another example of his leadership and commitment to the Cowboys he traveled to the game. Lee braved the chilly temperatures and served as a coach on the sideline for his defensive teammates.
Ernie Sims, who replaced Lee at middle linebacker, said he was very helpful Sunday.
"With Sean Lee being who he is and being the leader of our defense as the middle linebacker, it was good for him to be there," Sims said."He was very helpful to me, motivational and encouraging."
Lee hopes to play in Thursday's game against the Raiders but the Cowboys will likely be conservative and keep him out until the Dec. 9 battle against the Chicago Bears.
One thing is certain. Lee will be on the sideline with his teammates regardless off his status.
