Jason Hatcher is going to the Pro Bowl, after all.
The Cowboys’ defensive tackle, snubbed in the voting despite leading the Cowboys in sacks last year, was named to the team Thursday in place of Baltimore Ravens nose tackle Haloti Ngata.
Hatcher had 11 sacks last year, a career high for him and most in the league for interior linemen. He also tied for the team lead in tackles for loss (seven) and was second in quarterback pressures (33) and forced fumbles (two). He had 48 tackles and three pass breakups.
The selection of Hatcher, who became a free agent after the season, gives the Cowboys three players in Hawaii – all first-timers. Wide receiver Dez Bryant and left tackle Tyron Smith also earned their first Pro Bowl selections.
