ARLINGTON -- Jason Hatcher is so dialed in to what's happening at the moment that after the Dallas Cowboys beat up the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, 31-7 at AT&T Stadium he didn't even know who the Cowboys were slated to play next weekend.
That's the type of focus Hatcher would like for his teammates to have. He is a "living for the moment'' type of player.
Hatcher even had to be told by the media that the Cowboys (2-1) were the only NFC East team that won this weekend, meaning they gained a game on the Philadelphia Eagles (1-2), New York Giants (0-3) and Washington Commanders (0-3) in the standings.
"I just keep my nose down to the grind,'' said Hatcher, the Cowboys' stellar defensive tackle. "If we just approach it like that and don't try to pay attention and try to get in the driver’s seat and just go
out there and just take care of business and put wins together -- that's all we've got to do.''
By the way, the NFC East-leading Cowboys play at San Diego next Sunday.
