The Dallas Cowboys are what they are.
They are 2-2 football team coming off back to back 8-8 seasons with a record of 130-130 in their last 260 games.
Those are stats they hate hearing about, talking about and being asked about.
But it's also something the Cowboys know they will have to deal with until they change their circumstance.
They seemed to be well on their way last Sunday when they led the San Diego Chargers 21-10 in the first half and seemingly en route to a 3-1 mark to start the season for the first time since 2008. But that was before they gave 20 unanswered points in a 30-21 defeat.
The Cowboys get another chance to step forward Sunday against the undefeated Denver Broncos (4-0). Either that or fall under .500 for the first time since October of last year when they had a 3-4 mark.
"I think at the end of the day you don't want to be a .500 team," tight end Jason Witten said. "You got to find ways to win those games, it's a tough league, tough opponents and you look at last week you get a 11 point lead and they comeback and make plays. You are tired talking about it but the reality of it you got to do something about it, that's what our focus is about this week."
