Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he’s had a helmet thrown at him by a player, but if it’s because of the right kind of emotion, that’s ok with him.

Asked about how Jason Hatcher and Orlando Scandrick reacted with triumphant satisfaction to beating the vocal Giants, while not saying anything themselves in the week leading up to the game, Jones said, “In that particular case, there are two right there who do it on the field. Those are the ones you want to see have that kind of emotion, and I don’t have to agree with the emotion sometimes. I’ve literally had a helmet thrown at me in the locker room before – and I won’t mention his name, but he’s pretty obvious as to who it might be, but not on this team.

“Still, my point is, if it’s coming the right way and coming from the right player, it’s an honor to have some of that directed toward me.”

Jones has acknowledged that last season, he and Jay Ratliff (a player no longer on the team) had a confrontation in the locker room after a game.
