The newest plan to build an NFL stadium in Los Angeles is underway.

St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke, who bought 60 acres in Inglewood California last year, has joined forces with Stockbridge Capital Group, owners of the adjacent 238-acre Hollywood Park site, and the group plans to build an 80,000-seat NFL stadium along with other retail, office and residential spaces, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Inglewood plan is most recent in more than a dozen proposals that have come and gone since the Rams and Oakland Raiders left Los Angeles after the 1994 season, per the Times.
According to the Inglewood developers, no tax dollars would be used in construction of the stadium or other projects. The group plans to gather signatures in order to get the project on the Inglewood municipal ballot in 2015.
The news could be a game-changer for the Rams' future in St. Louis

Sad. First the Cardinals, then the Rams, betray the city of St.Louis.

lol. No one want to be in St. Louis. Cardinals split town and now the the Rams? And their solution is to move back to LA where the Rams split town and Raiders followed. Somebody get me off the merry go round.

The cardinals were originally from Chicago, it is one of the oldest franchises. Dating back to 1898, they moved to St. Louis in 1960

St Louis is more a baseball town, I mean can you blame them, most WS titles next to the NY Yankees.

Maybe because at one time they had two. That town is flooded with Pro Sports, 2 basketball teams, 2 hockey teams, 2 baseball teams, the state itself is oversaturated with sports.

So in the modern era they were the LA Rams only to become the ST.L Rams only to be the LA Rams again?

It is now but before the Cardinals left it was a big football town.

St Louis will always be Cardinals Baseball town. The football Cardinals were not originally from there so the following was always up and down.

you are correct, the state already has the Chargers, 49ers, and Raiders, do they really need a 4th team? I think San Antonio is more deserving of a team.

I agree but LA is the 2nd largest city in the US and of course LA is where much of the media resides. Sooner or later LA will get a team. I don't think they deserve a team but they will get it

I like it for a few reasons. It keeps the divisions aligned geographically without switching anything around. It doesn't add any new teams. It sets up a perfect SF/LA rivalry, with Seattle and Arizona too. And since they were originally the LA Rams and were sort of gifted to StL for a while, it doesn't seem as negative as when Cleveland or Baltimore moved. I wouldn't have liked it if it was someone like the Vikings which had been rumored, and keeping the Raiders in Oakland is cool because of the long history there. The only other teams that seemed to work were maybe the Chargers or Jax.

It is sad for StL they lose the Kurt Warner / Marshall Faulk history there, I'm sure they'll always have fans n StL.

That will be an interesting legal battle. The NBA and NHL now keep colors and mascots in each city. It seems only right that the NFL eventually do the same. The Rams modern history belongs in St. Louis. Start over in LA.

After moving from Cleveland to L.A. in 1946, the Rams stayed on the West Coast until 1994. The Rams currently have an overall record of 533-533-21 in the regular season. Their record in St. Louis is 135-184-1. They had 14 seasons with a losing record, two 8-8 seasons and 4 seasons with a winning record during their time in Missouri. Their history is most definitely in L.A.

Their history is DEFINITELY where each event occurred and their one Super Bowl championship was in St. Louis. I don't care about longevity. LA deserves a start over.

They had way more consistent success in L.A.. They have an NFL title while playing in L.A.. It pre-dates the Superbowl era, but it is an NFL title. They have mostly been a bad team in St. Louis.

Fair enough, it's just arguably the best quarterback, running back, and receiving tandem in team history all belong in St. Louis.
