Unfortunately hamstring injuries to Cowboy players do seem to last a ridiculously long time. For all the accolades our training staff gets, I just don't see it.

Day to day....for a month...except for Matt Johnson, it was for 3 years.....:muttley:

Maybe he tweaked it trying to save his cell phone after he dropped it....it is possible you know that dropping cell phones causes injuries......

Or one could argue.. We seen enough of these on the Cowboys over the years to know they tend to linger a lot longer than anticipated and with some players it has other consequences

Truth.

I bet Miles Austin is STILL nursing his hamstring.... lol

It could be minor or it could be the worst hamstring pull of all time. Two things:

1. Means he's going hard in practice. You can't tweak a hamstring half-assing your workout.

2. If he won't participate the rest of mini-camp, that's fine. You want to be your healthiest for the full camp starting next month.

the only reason mo is here is that the cowboys are desperate and he will play for really cheap others they tried to get wouldn't.

Unlike Chaz Green, this one actually deserves an eye roll. Hamstring won't go away.

The good and bad of this setback:
The good is that we're not missing much with him off the field. It's not like we lost a Scandrick type or a top NFL CB so we have time to get some depth and start working on a potential replacement now.
The bad is that he was supposedly going to have a "breakout" season and we'll never know if the hamstring acts up. The other problem is that (if he's cleared to play) he wasn't very aggressive to begin with and now he's going to be even less aggressive for fear of reinjury. Dude is just snake bit in a den full of rattlers.

I am curious. Who is giving the training staff accolades, lad?

That's well and good. But what are the chances he will go through an entire training camp uninjured?

Based on his past history, virtually nil.

Do you all think it may be time to hire another trainer or is it strictly a player to player issue?

It's kind of hard to say that when the Cowboys have been very fortunate with their injuries. They are not any worse then most of the teams in the league.
