Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has always has a way with words and a unique perspective.
He is admittedly prone to hyperbole. It's always why Jerry Jones' radio show 105.3 The Fan is must-listen radio.
On Tuesday, he had a couple of doozies starting off with drinking beer and betting on rats to race across the room with quarterback Tony Romo.
In a continued effort to laud his quarterback and cater to growing Hispanic and Latino fan base, Jones said Romo is the perfect quarterback for the Cowboys because of his Hispanic heritage _ never minding the fact that Jones initially thought he was Italian.
“We couldn’t have a better quarterback,” Jones said. “We just couldn’t. Bill Parcells and I thought he was Italian. Then we found out that his grandparents were from Mexico. We couldn’t have a better quarterback with a background of Hispanic for the Dallas Cowboys.”
Only Jerry Jones.
