My peak panic point mock draft. Sticking to Matt Miller's board here and drafting defense where possible but no reaches.

28: R1P28
EDGE TAKKARIST MCKINLEY
UCLA
3rd down rusher day 1 but needs to add strength and size. Relentless and that's a Cowboy DL to a tee.
year 1 projection: 20-30 snaps a game as a WDE/Edge.

60: R2P28
S OBI MELIFONWU
UCONN
Freak athlete joins "big bro" Jones in secondary. Making DAL one of most athletic safety tandems in football. Low key resembling SEA.
year 1 projection: Battles Frazier and Heath for starting role. DAL will likely allow him some growing pains if needed.

92: R3P28
CB JOURDAN LEWIS
MICHIGAN
Small CB resembles Mo a bit. Might succeed OScan as slot cover guy in a season or so.
Will compete and can play.
year 1 projection: CB4-5. Should play in sub packages and give you some depth day 1. Has fiery OScan type attitude.

133: R4P26
EDGE TARELL BASHAM
OHIO
Raw but has the tools. Could get some snaps in pressure situations early. Will need to find special teams roles early on.
year 1 projection: Early on may be inactive but special teams and pass rush snaps should come over course of season.

211: R6P27
CB JEREMY CLARK
MICHIGAN
Lewis' teammate is the opposite kind of guy. Massive CB with Richard Sherman type size. Recovering from an ACL and might need a full redshirt year. If healthy enough would give you a great special teamer year 1 and depth CB. Bigger than many FS and can cover the biggest WRs and even most TEs if asked.
year 1 projection: Likely an early IR candidate unless he tears it up in camp. Amazing upside though.

228: R7P10
EDGE KEIONTA DAVIS
CHATTANOOGA
A powerfully built guy, Keionta may project to SDE or even 3T. Needs lots of refinement but a great developmental prospect and the kind of guy Dallas loves to have around at the bottom of a roster.
Could be David Irving type guy.
year 1 projection: May have better shot than Basham to play early because of position flex and stoutness versus run. If he can handle some ST duty he can get some 3rd down SDE rushes in at least.

246: R7P28
WR SPEEDY NOIL
TEXAS A&M
Rare athletic ability means Dallas jumps on him as a possible Lucky replacement on the cheap.
Character concerns and lack of college production cause him to drop but he was at one time the top athlete prospect in the country. TAMU's QB carousel probably didn't help him and TAMU one of rare places that had better returners.
year 1 projection: Returner and back up to Beasley in slot. I think he can take Lucky's job and save a couple hundred thousand in cap space.

Hate the 1st 2 picks. Both look the part, but neither have good tape to backup their size/speed.

Lewis wouldn't be a bad 3rd rounder but a
domestic violence investigation should drop him much further now.

I'd love Basham in the 4th but that seems very unrealistic...I know you said you went by a board tho.

I like this but I agree with darthseinfeld regarding putting Jones instead of obi. Also some of those players will not be there when we pick. If they are, I wold be very happy with this draft.

I kinda sort of like it.
It certainly covers our two dreaded holes. However, it creates a a potential release problem getting down to 53

Let's see:
#1 pick with serious shoulder injury and surgery, out for 6 months....Check!
#2 Yet another athletic DB from powerhouse UConn.....Check!
#3 Another player with domestic violence criminal charges on him.....Check!
#7 Another headcase who underperformed at TAMU when he wasn't suspended...Check!

Perfect Jerry draft. He will need the Luck of the Irish with this one.

If you still believe Jerry runs drafts you prolly are a decade behind the times, but it would be nice if this draft worked out like last few have.
Dallas has the best young football team in the NFL.

Doubt Obi makes it to 60. If he did I'd turn in the card and not think twice.

Hate both CBs. Will Lewis doesn't bother me too much.

I can't imagine that given our top 3 CBs are Brown, Scandrick and a total bum in Carroll that they'd wait until the 3rd and 6th round to get the CBs they are going to need. They've put themselves into a situation where they might not be able to go BPA at times in this draft. That's how bizarre their offseason has been to date.

I still light a candle every week that we can get a 2nd or 3rd rounder in this draft for Romo. We need it.
