Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware returned to practice for the first time since injuring his thigh against the Commanders. He had missed the past three games.

Ware was limited in Wednesday's practice, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that Ware was "ready" to return to action.

The Cowboys were without five starters Wednesday as receiver Miles Austin (hamstring), receiver Dez Bryant (back), cornerback Morris Claiborne (hamstring), defensive tackle Jason Hatcher (neck), safety J.J. Wilcox (knee) sat out the practice at AT&T Stadium.

Bryant said "damn right" when asked if he was playing Sunday. Claiborne said he will return after the bye week.

Rookie linebacker DeVonte Holloman (neck) also missed practice.

Defensive tackle Nick Hayden (ribs) and defensive end George Selvie (shoulder) were limited.

Safety Barry Church (hamstring), receiver Dwayne Harris (hip), safety Danny McCray (hip/toe) and running back DeMarco Murray (knee) were full participants.
