Truly dangerous teams don't have to cross their fingers.
I guess you’ve never heard tv analysts say, “If this team makes it to the playoffs, they’re going to be a very dangerous team.”?

Or never seen a wildcard team win the Super Bowl?

The NFL season is a long one. Teams get hot late and have a ton of momentum heading into the playoffs every single season. It happens. Heck, it happens even without teams losing the best RB in football for six games.

It isn’t far fetched that with Elliott back in the fold, Dallas becomes a dangerous team.

Did the 93 Cowboys have to cross their fingers? The 78 Steelers? The Patriots of the past decade?

Truly dangerous teams don't need luck. Lacking teams need luck.
Did the 93 Cowboys have all the injuries and suspensions?

Have you ever a "very dangerous team" get absolutely run off the field four times in the regular season, then win a Super Bowl?

I'll give you this. I don't think there's an elite team in this league, so by that definition, all of the playoff teams will be dangerous.

Was Dallas a dangerous team then? No. I think we are in agreement there.

Could they get hot and play well heading into the playoffs? Could they finish the season on a 5 game win streak? I say yes. Apparently you think that because they weren’t really dangerous earlier in the season, they can’t be now.

That’s ok... but I’ve seen too many NFL teams get hot late to agree with that.
