Orlando Scandrick credits new special teams coach Rich Bisaccia for his first blocked field goal – he pushes him to do it.

“He’s been a big believer in me since he got here,” Scandrick said. “He’s been very positive since he got here. I give him the credit. The guy’s on me every day. I’ve been close for years. He’s on me every day: Go get it, go get it, visualize it.”

Scandrick blocked a 57-yard field goal attempt last week in Kansas City, keeping the Cowboys ahead 10-7 before halftime.

Scandrick, who came in off left end for the block, said he didn’t exploit anything he saw on film.

“Just an effort thing. No scheme. Just effort,” he said.

Scandrick said he was close on a field goal against the Giants in Week 1, also. How many other times has he been close?

“I don’t know,” he said. “But I know I can do it, because in college, it was one of the things I did very well.”
