Terrance Williams is smoldering mad about not being able to practice or play while he waits out a concussion.

“It’s hard to just watch football,” he said. “You want to go out there and play. I just can’t watch football and not be out there. I’ve just got to keep being patient and keep getting mental reps.”

The rookie receiver hit the back of his head on the ground in practice on Friday. He is expected to miss seven days as part of the league’s concussion protocol.

“I’m just doing certain things they tell me to do,” Williams said. “Getting mental reps. Just paying attention to what the coaches are saying.”

Williams said this is his first concussion and he didn’t feel any headaches or other symptoms over the weekend.

He was short with reporters as he talked about it.

Finally, he was asked, “You’re just mad, aren’t you?”

Williams broke into a big smile, and everyone laughed.

“Frustrated not being out there,” he said.
