Quarterback Tony Romo was a full particpant in practice Wednesday. He said his bruised ribs feel better today than they did last week.
"And it’ll just keep getting better and better this week," Romo said.
Still, he might need another pain-killing injection come Sunday.
"It's too early to tell right now," Romo said. "But I think tentatively we were planning on it just because the nature of it and what we thought, but we’ll see as we get there."
Romo wouldn't blame his fourth-quarter struggles on the shot wearing off. He completed only 8 of 15 passes for 69 yards in the final period against the Chiefs.
"I don’t know that that was a part of it," Romo said. "More than anything, it’s just I’ve gotten shot up before for the rib, and it seems like it’s a normal part of playing quarterback in the National Football League. You go out there and you play. No one cares. When you step on the field, it’s all about winning, and that’s all that matters."
Romo played through a fractured rib in 2011. He completed 22 of 36 passes for 255 yards and an interception in a Week 3 win over Washington that season after fracturing the rib and puncturing a lung the previous week against San Francisco.
