A league source tells PFT that tackle Stacy Andrews has agreed to terms with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Per the source, it's a multi-year deal averaging $7 million per season.

At this point, the structure of the contract isn't known as it relates to guaranteed money. Andrews suffered a torn ACL late in the 2008 season, and it might have prompted the Eagles to defer any large payments until March 2010, after Andrews proves that he is 100 percent.

The deal hinges on Andrews passing a physical.

For the Eagles, it was important to address quickly the tackle position, since both starters from last season, Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan, are unrestricted free agents.

Every other sport seems to be reducing contracts but good grief this free agency class so far has been nuts.

Prior to his injury last year he was a darn good tackle. I'm not shocked he got some good money based on the potential that he can return to that form.

He's a pure RT though coming off of serious injury.

He's got 2 years of starting experience and I guess has upside still if he is fully healthy but that seems like a ton of jack to me.

They were in a pickle in Philly. They are down to like, what, 1 tackle and they have him on the trading block. I'm not shocked that they've had to go with this move.
