Finally finished out the rolls (yes, rolls) of film and converted to cd! Sorry for the delay.

S%20Exterior.jpg
On "Build it Bigger", they talked about the blending of materials on the exterior of the stadium; glass, rock, steel, etc.
S%20glass.JPG
Those glass doors are massive.
S%20pre-McCartney.JPG
They had rolled up the field and were preparing for the McCartney concert during our tour.

Next, they took us to the Suite and Press areas.

ST%20replay%20booth%201.jpg

The NFL Instant Replay Booth (shown) is right next to the Radio Media press box.

Another shot of the Instant Replay booth. I'll apologize now for the malfunctioning flash.

ST%20Jerry%27s%20Suite.jpg

Jerry's suite, positioned 2 sections above the Player's Field Entrance, can hold 300 people. It looks like a German pillbox. The small deck above it is Jerry's personal viewing area.

Thanks for sharing. Does anyone know why they put down the football field only to remove it for the McCartney concert? There was no Cowboys game until now, so why put the field and end zone down only to remove it? A test run maybe?

We kept going up to the Upper Mezzanine area.

An idea of how high you'd be, regarding elevation.
U%20ballpark.JPG

The low rent district next door. Supposedly, the white bar on the horizon behind the roller coaster to your left of the ballpark is Texas Stadium. I forgot to get a better shot of that while we were up there.

I hope you don't have issues with vertigo. It's not quite that bad, but it does seem like you'll be walking straight up if you're near the top.

Stick with it. We're getting to the good parts.

Hos will be happy to know that these 2 lockers were all by themselves, detached from most of the rest of the lockers.

As promised. The holy lands.
LR%20the%20showers.jpg

The showers and such.
LR%20Player%20Parking.jpg

Opposite the locker room was a small player parking area.

FL%20turf.jpg

Someone was asking about the turf color. This is as close as I could get. ;)
FL%20turf%202.jpg

I tried to get a shot showing the amount of padding under the turf. not much luck.

last but not least, the bigscreen itself. The main screen is 9 stories tall and has 2 elevators inside.

SC%20big%20screen%20catwalks.jpg

You can see the lighting on the ceiling of the top 5 floors inside the screen.
SC%20end%20zone%20screen.jpg

And the same lighting in 3 of the 4 floors for the end zone screens.
SC%20Star%20on%20screen.jpg

This is probably the worst picture I took. If you look at the top edge of the concrete colored image on the big screen, you'll see two white glowing points. Those are the edges of the star that is mounted on the top of the center-hung screen. I did confirm that there will be a star sewn into the turf, as well.

If I find any more good pics, I'll post them, too. These are the most representative of the 100 or so I took during the tour. Enjoy.

The initial set up takes alot of time, the field doesn't come complete and finished. The seams have to be created, the numbers, star and endzones and logos have to be cut and fitted and then the lines are painted on after it's in place. The hole thing is then ready. they can then remove the field for another even and place the NFL field back down in 12 hours..
