I really want to see what this kid can do!. He has all the talent. He's one of the guys I'm most looking forward to see, other then who ever we draft.

You're a couple of months late to this particular party. :)

I agree. The next Marion Barber-type to insert into the starting lineup.

This team lacks little in talent, except the obvious and glaring deficiency in the secondary. Other than that, it's a matter of attitude, desire, fight and will. Hell, put him in the secondary for all I care, just get him on the field already and see what he can do.

Shallow in receivers? Slot back? Double Tight End set? I mean, find a way to get this guy in the lineup already..........................

With all the hype this kid is getting, he better start making circus catches weekly and making T.O. jealous of his numbers.

I also cannot wait to see the player who burnt Champ in training camp.

Bruce Willis from "Diehard".......

"Welcome to the party pal"

For a guy who has all this talent, and was supposedly healthy at the end of the year, one has to ask why wasn't he inserted intio the lineup against Washington?

I think he's a tong term project, a luxury perhaps Jerry thinks they can afford, but in reality, he took up a roster spot that a real WR could have been learning the pro level skills.

Well considering Robert Meachem, who actually PLAYED WR and was taken in the 1st round couldn't get into the line up for the Saints, even with their trouble to find a reliable #2, I wouldn't get too worked up about it. No point stunting his growth.

For a player drafted in the 4th round and making a position change in the NFL after missing all mini camps and most of training camp his rookie season, I honestly expected a 16 game starter and 1,000 plays player.

He's been a monumental disappointment and bust. Cut him.

I hope to see him at least make a big impact on special teams. I would hope Dallas will work with him on punt returns god knows we need to do much better in our return game.

Yeah it's time to put him on the field... He looks like the real deal, I wonder if they plan on lining him up opposite of T.O. in 2008?

Getting away from all the good arguments for a second... you know the
  • he is a project
  • he is not ready
  • he is changing positions
  • he was a rookie
  • etc... etc..
I would just like to see him with the ball in his hands... lets see what he can "make" happen.... 5 yard pass or endaround.... or... just send him deep... even if we dont throw it to him.... let him practice his route running in real time game situations

While Stanback seems to have the physical skills needed, and I would be very happy to see him contribute on the field, I have a feeling he'll turn out to be more of an "extended" project than anything else. I hope he proves me wrong, but at this point, I see him as basically just a project who may...or may not pan out for us.

Yeah, I've already started re-watching our games this year, and in that Philly game when he made his debut at KR, he looked really good -- better than I remembered. Not only is he big and fast and quick, but he ran with a real aggression that I liked, especially with that being his first NFL action.

It's too bad we couldn't have thrown him some passes in the Washington game, just to see him catch a couple. If he can do that, he should be a player.

Is there some doubt he's going to get on the field next year?

We must be going through pro football withdrawals. :(

i love stanback's potential, he has all the tools and the intangibles, unlike crayton who i never liked and never understood why just about everyone else loved him.

Because Crayton usually catches everything thrown his way (yes he had a bad playoff game the exception not the norm)and he worked great in the slot.

I still like Crayton but his spot is much like Welker in the slot
