Don't worry, Cajun. Some of the same guys ready to cut Stanback wanted to cut Barber in his first two years because he started off fumbling. Not to mention that backup quarterback that just took up space for three years when the spot could be used for another wide out. Those guys wanted to get rid of him, too.

I was impressed with Stanback's speed on that play for sure. But I was also impressed with the fact that he resisted the urge to hit or push the persuer in the back. He could see Felix had the TD and he (Stanback) avoided the penalty.

I know that's what should be expected of him and he only did what was expected, but a lot of young guys would do that.

I so saw that push in the back, thank god he didn't. Although I could of sworn that he tried to tangle legs with him as the defender tripped after he got in the endzone.

Now this is brilliance! I like the way you think, you're reading my mind..............this shows that not only does he have wicked speed, but he's able to play smart and avoid a penalty in a tempting situation................unlike so many other players last night. :bang2:

The come-back route for a 1st down in game vrs Browns was not a thing of a "robot"....drove hard downfield and showed good route, good timeing w/ Romo and good hands on a tough catch right on the sideline.......against pretty decent coverage.....

I just hope that Stanbach and Austin can push each other thru competition for the 2nd spot..........maybe end up with 2 solid wr's

Thank goodness your not a real coach. Sherman Lewis indicated that Stanback is not only a blazer but acrobatic and has made some amazing catches. It also has been commented that Stanback has made real progress this year from his transition from college quarterback to NFL receiver and starting to run crip routes.

40 times mean nothing if you can't translate it to the football field. Time will tell if he is fit to be an NFL WR.

^ Really not all that fast compared to the likes of Reggie Bush, Devin Hester, etc. Compare this though. Jerry Rice ran like a 4.7 and it sure didn't stop him from being one of the best, if not the best WR in NFL football history. Speed isn't everything.

i don't care about his speed....he has no heart...he plays scared...he does not want the ball...remember he is a qb...he does not want to get hit...

LOL How do you know that? He's caught everything that's gone his way. I'm sorry, but if he were so scared I don't think he would be returning kickoffs, but that has to be one of the deadliest positions on a team. What does being a QB have to do with anything? Their are plenty of QBs that don't mind taking a hit and are plenty tough. With that said, he's just in his 2nd season and we just finished game 2 of his second season, so the jury is still out in my book.
