I'd just like to know how a guy like Stanback can drop so many passes after having spent all those years playing football and now getting paid to go out and catch? Heck, I wonder if he has ever been over to the football jugs in camp or at the ranch?!! I'd cut him right now if I was HC.

The scariest part about the fifth reciever is he may actually have to play alot. Alot of people are counting on Austin and Hurd who both have injury histories. Bad bet.

Let's see, play more sets with Bennett or Felix Jones? Or try to get your #5 WR to play like a #3?

I think it is clear that we'd have to have a serious disaster for the #5 guy to play a lot.

I didn't watch the whole 4th quarter, so I may have missed some opps for Stanback, but he could of helped himself tremendously by making the catch in the end zone. It would of been a good reception, but its the kind of catch he needed to make to show he belongs.

I've always liked Stanback I thought He was a guy worth taking a risk for. But it is time to start seing some improvement and so far He has not shown it. Hopefully he does something in the next pre-season games. if not then it will all take care of itself.

Let me play devils advocate here.

Why do you think he's still on the team?
Do you think he has pictures of Wade and Jerry?
Do you think Wade and Jerry are trying to sabotage the team?
Or perhaps just the career of some pet cat WR of yours?

The Cowboys situation with Stanback is not unique here. Every team has a few younger guys who have flashed a lot more promise than production.

Stanback's a classic tease. He has all the physical ability you'd ever expect in a WR, but he lacks skill and durability.

He's like Randall Williams and his 4.04 40 time. More times than not, they don't pan out. But you have to try.

So stop the *****ing and moaning on Stanback. He'll only make the 53 if he earns it.

I'm sick of the project. Go ahead and cut him loose, and if he goes on to Miami and is a star, so be it! I've seen nothing out of him to make me think he has potential. If I see another jump while he's returning a kick I'll puke!

Matt Jones (and I could care less about this Bozo) at least showed that he could be serviceable WR in this league. Stanback is infamous for his wrestling deal he put on with Hurd a couple of years ago.

I say don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split ya!!!

Yeah, I realize what he was in college, but you're still spending time catching the ball even as a qb, got to get the ball somehow to throw.
