Wildcard Teams: So right now New Orleans is 10-5 with the Panthers clinching the NFC South and the 49ers are 11-4 with the Seahawks clinching the NFC West..

Assuming we win, do we end up facing the 49ers or the Saints? I hope we face the Saints, I want a chance at payback but my gut says we end up with the 49ers, yikes...

The Bears are 2-3 in their division and 4-7 in their conference but more than likely they will win the NFC North so assuming we win, we would end up with a better Conference record.. Right now the Boys are 5-0 in their division and 7-4 in the NFC Conference, yet we lost to the Bears... LOL

Some dude posted a graph about this earlier that was easy to understand.
Cant remember what thread so I cant link you to it. Maybe someone else will.

I don't think it really matters.

Winning the East with the current state of the team is one thing. Facing the 49ers or Saints with this defense and Orton behind center is quite another.

Only solace is that it would be in Dallas.

Panthers did not clinch division yet

I like our chances against NO with Orton playing but the 49ers would more than likely end us...

Oh how cute...

Don't ever assume anything when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys......those assumptions usually end up wrong

If the Bears win, we can't overtake the for the 3 seed. We'd both be 9-7, and they have the head to head tiebreaker. If GB wins, then we would get the 3. As for who we'd play, both NO and SF have been good, but at times beatable. That said, I would rather play NO. Much different team away from home, and we've seen them already.

Beating the Eagles and the Saints would squash a lot of the, "Romo is great Garrett is bad" insanity....

I guess im in the minority of rather playing the 9ers at home. Seems like it would be a semi home game for the saints...dome, turf, a lot of saints fans.

A win and we are the 3 seed if Chi loses or the 4 seed if they beat GB. I think we match up better against SF.

There's a chance we could play the Saints, Niners, Panthers or Seahawks. Seahawks could be as low as a 5 seed if Seahawks lose, Niners win and Panthers win. Then Dallas would have to be the 4 seed to play them, which means the Bears would have to win. That's the ONLY way we'd play the Seahawks. The most likely scenarios would be the Saints and Niners. And I forgot to mention the Cards.

If we do that then You have a point, but that's a HUGE if, then again, If we don't then it's "Romo is great and Garrett sucks" truth....
