I didn't like DS9 when it first aired. I found it boring and quit watching. However, I went back years later and watched the whole thing. I realized it just took that show a while to get its legs, but when it did, it did some outstanding work.
I didn't mind it at first, but the shape shifter conflict got annoying.

The Bjoran religion annoyed me some, but I thought they still came up with some amazing and complex plots.
Being at the mouth of a stable interstellar wormhole gave them so many opportunities for better stories. Also, I'm not a big fan of the Cardassians (or the Kardashians). They look too much like they were supposed to have evolved from cobras. Not as tough as Klingons, not as smart as Romulans. They'd be okay for sporadic appearances, but as regular characters, I thought they were pretty lame.
As for the Bajoran religion, all religions annoy me, so that seemed rather authentic. LOL

the first episode will be on Netflix in the US. After that it's on that new CBS streaming service. Outside the US, it will just be on netflix.

I really hope it's good. I'll be severely disappointed if it's not any good.
Thanks. I'm sure eventually the whole series will be on Netflix like the rest of the Star Trek TV series library.

There are people who sign up for foreign Netflix, and change their IP to make it look like they're in the other country in order to get content not shown in the US. I haven't done that hacking myself, but it can be done.
