Star Trek: Strange new Worlds. meet the cast

DS9 was my favorite of the reboots. Sisko was much more interesting and likable than Piccard. Odo, Quark, Kiera, Dax, Jake and company were fun to watch. When Warf joined the team, it really added more to the cast. The only character I didn't care for was OBrian. Loved the Vic Fontaine hologram.

I found the TNG characters stiff and boring, with the exception of Warf, Data and Jordy. Wesley Crusher annoyed me. His mom tried to be like Bones but her character felt forced.
Are you sure you're not thinking of the first doctor on TNG, Dr. Pulaski? I could see someone feeling like she was trying to be like Bones, but I don't see it at all with Crusher.

This is the most "dressed down" pic I found on a quick google search.

Pallicki weighs like 6 pounds. Looks like a young boy w/ boobies.

Crusher was the first doctor on TNG, Pulaski was the one year replacement while McFadden was having a child if I remember correctly.

I could be mistaken, but I thought Pulaski was the first one. @DallasEast ?
Nope. @terra is correct. Gates McFadden was an original cast member of TNG.

However, you are technically right about which of the two actresses appeared first as a "doctor" in the franchise. Diana Muldaur (Dr. Pulaski) played two different roles of a psychologist and scientist, the latter whose body was temporary inhabited by an alien consciousness, in two separate TOS episodes.

Hmm, my memory is absolutely shot. Thanks for the clarification!
