I'm interested to see whether they can pull off a "made for TV' level Star Wars product. They have been discussing doing something like this for years now and this will be their first test to see if it can work.

More that likely they'll do like other subscriber-based shows and do shorter seasons, giving them more budget per episode and less filler episodes. I'm sure that they can do "made for tv" level Star Wars product, but I don't trust them to because Kathleen Kennedy runs Lucasfilm and her track record so far hasn't been good. I'm not going to pay to find out if they succeeded at making this tv show decent. If it were on a network and I could see the first few episodes for free, I'd give it a try.
