Troy had nerves of steel and was confident but he should one been with all the talent around him. My only thing is mobility and in today’s game I think Daks mobility in the pocket over his career would give him the edge.

Wait, what? Is Dak considered a mobile QB? Noole arm vs Troy's? Troy did not play in the genre of mobile QB, but his cannon and chutzpah more than make up for it. I am still stuck on Dak being mobile in today's game, lol

I never once called Dak a mobile qb lol….read it again and slower….noodle arm? You’re using terms you aren’t familiar with. Chad Pennington and Taylor Heineke are what “noodle arms” are…Lamar is what a mobile qb is.

He may have finally achieved cerebral grasp of the game.

But he never had any sense of risk versus reward or he would have never run after back surgery in a preseason game.

It was a stupid thing to do, but being a competitor sometimes instinct overrides common sense

It's late; I have a 4-day migraine, but did you not state Dak's mobility gives him the edge over Troy? Compared to Troy, yes, Dak has a noodle arm, but in general, no, he does not...sure, Dak is a better rushing QB than Troy was, but the QB position is vastly different now


My only thing is mobility, and in today’s game, I think Dak's mobility in the pocket over his career would give him the edge.

Agreed and sometimes that instinct can put you right over the top and make a highlight reel

But sometimes it can be an absolute disaster like that was I almost smashed the TV I absolutely could not believe he did that.

But thinking about it afterwards it did get him out of football before he was paralyzed from a brutal hit.
He still suffers now from the back injuries he had

Well aye a 4 day migraine sounds crucial. A one day migraine is crucial….have you seen a doctor that’s a long time going with migraines.

Dak doesn’t have a noodle arm Troy did have a cannon but even in comparison Dak can launch it 50-60 yards. And I’m just saying he’s more mobile as far as moving around the pocket. A lot of Daks big plays are from his mobility and throwing on the run. He’s not a mobile qb and hasn’t been in some time. But he not a statue.

Troy was a tough sonuvagun. Took some nasty hits.

His best asset was mental toughness. When other qb's look confused, he chews someone out and plans next plays.
 
Start- Troy. Heart of a lion, born leader, incredible arm talent, 3x Champion.

Bench- Tony. It's close, but I think the team would've gone deep into the playoffs in 16 had he not gone down. Savvy, gunslinger mentality, high football IQ, did more with less throughout his career.

Cut- Dak. Nothing against him. He's had some great seasons. Too streaky, needs elite talent around him to be successful. Tony elevated his receivers. Dak has struggled without a true #1.

I have a deviated septum due to chronic sinus/allergy issues...this is not fun to live with\, but it could be lots worse of what others are dealing with in life. Yes, Dak moves around in the pocket more, but you and I both know it's because his OL has allowed doing this. In particular, the days of the beasts he had access to, to be able to do so. However, back in the day, Elway...Dan..Troy etc, were all made of the same DNA, and that was by design

Mentally and physically tough. Took a beating in an era when qbs didn't get cuddled to the ground, they got clobbered 3 steps after throwing it...and no flags, just because

Troy was also MONEY in the playoffs against the best competition.

Neither Dak or Romo can say the same…..
