Start Jaylon? Replacing Hitchens

My prediction is that they will platoon Durant and Jaylon. There are only around 65 snaps a game to go around. Start off splitting snaps and then go from there.
I think we sign someone to handle the "thumper" downs to take pressure off of Jaylon

Nacho and Durant aren't the answer

Some team will cut a very good MLB

What are your thoughts on Ahmad Brooks released from SF?

I doubt some teams 7th or 8th LB right now is going to be "very good." McClay needs to work some magic.

Stephen jones said last night before the game, if it was up to Jaylon, he would be out there all game long. but they will stick to. their plan. Try to double his snaps from the week before, and stay with the plan.

now with Hitchens injury, I bet they don't play him as much against the Texans. May try to stay to around the 20 snaps at most. This is just my wild guess. Then as you say, split snaps in regulate season games. Maybe even not an equal split. Maybe 40 to 25 or 35 to 30, at most, and something in between until slowly Jaylon gets more than the 30 then more than 35 and so on.

I actually would expect they would play him a half or so and see how he responds this week. I'm sure they have a snap count or something like that in mind

Very good for what we need

A two down thumper to spell JSmith...... they are like 2 down RBs ..... a dime a dozen

Someone call Patrick Willis' agent or see what SF wants for Bowman lol.

Just a tibial plateau fracture -- out only 8 weeks. No surg.

There will be decent veteran ILBs cut. It happens every year. Players are cut for reasons other than they are 7th or 8th on the depth chart. Teams will cut vets to save money or to keep a promising rookie. There will be interesting names available that we wouldn't even consider right now. They certainly could also look to make a trade at the deadline. In fact, I would think that's the most likely scenario.

Baldy killing it with his tweets. Check this out:

He probably feels like he needs to make it up for his Zeke "head-hunting" comments that got him a 6 month suspension from NFLN

His two tweets in this thread are really good, I'll give him that. :)
