Start MB over JJ for THIS game because...

I think the first couple of series in this game will be the most physical and MB can block and run better in a physical game. Then I would bring JJ into the game especially in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. And then finish with a strong dose of MB in the 4th quarter.

nope. JJ dose first then MB3 second. The Deffense probably wont get as tired with MB3 running straight at them, w/ jj he makes them chase him. thats when we give them the mb3 dose and he plows right over them because they are tired or at least fatigued ;)

Why change things up when we've been having success the way we are doing it?

No its not time for another MB/JJ thread. You're attempt at humor is pretty futile. I think it has been pretty much settled that both backs will be used. MB just is much more physical than JJ and I believe has less plays for negative yardage. In the first couple of series, I think the most physical back is needed ESPECIALLY IN THIS GAME. The Giants will come out breathing fire. MB can pound them into submission early (and for good measure) late.

The one thing you don't realize is that if their defense is too aggressive they could whif on a tackle and Julius could speed for a ton of yards.

I think as others have said, the way we do it now works well.

I would go back to the Carolina game. We controlled the clock and wore them down, and then MB3 came in 4th quarter and punished them.

With Julius in their and Marion coming in every few series and on third down we are able to wear out defenses and get them tired. Then MB3 can just plow over them at the end.

Of course this also needs good play by our defense, to hold their offense in check so that we can keep their defense on the field.

Bottomline: Our system works great the way we have it.

:laugh2:

Bill won't change that. He'll start with JJ and give a heavy does of MB3 as we get closer to the red zone.

I don't plan on seeing much of MB3 early on because Mr. Romo will be tossing a few long TD passes to TG and TO from well outside of the red zone. ;)

Getcha popcorn ready!

JC folks. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. We are on a roll, for the first time in a LOOOONG time, now people want to go and tweak stuff? Why? Did you ever think that the reason MBIII has been doing so well was in part due to the rotation and the fact that JJ has 'em sucking for wind before MBIII hits the field? It just makes zero sense to make changes when it's working like a champ, but whatever.

Right.
I think we will see more JJ in these last 5 games. I think BP was saving him over those 3 games in 11 days. Waiting for the stretch run.

JJ hasn't been making anyone suck wind as of late. He has been servicable lately which is not totally a bad thing. I noticed the last 2 games or so, BP has been letting MB play a little more.

I guess BP wants JJ to be fresh a little later down the road. If this is the case I like the strategy.

Barber has less negative plays because most of his carries come on third down or late in the game.

Barber is really hot right now. I saw better running from Julius in the Bucs game and I really didn't think he ran the ball all that bad in the Colts game, just Flozell and Rivera really struggled early on.

I'd be more happy if they'd have Julius run up the middle less. I think he's at around 52% of his runs right up the middle. I'd prefer to see that get down to at least 45% and giving him more runs off tackle where he's entirely better.

I also wouldn't mind seeing more screen plays. He's a much better receiver this year and in the open field he's a real threat.

Yeah, running for those 1 and 2 yard runs really causes the opposing D's to chase him.
