No its not time for another MB/JJ thread. You're attempt at humor is pretty futile. I think it has been pretty much settled that both backs will be used. MB just is much more physical than JJ and I believe has less plays for negative yardage. In the first couple of series, I think the most physical back is needed ESPECIALLY IN THIS GAME. The Giants will come out breathing fire. MB can pound them into submission early (and for good measure) late.
The one thing you don't realize is that if their defense is too aggressive they could whif on a tackle and Julius could speed for a ton of yards.
I think as others have said, the way we do it now works well.
I would go back to the Carolina game. We controlled the clock and wore them down, and then MB3 came in 4th quarter and punished them.
With Julius in their and Marion coming in every few series and on third down we are able to wear out defenses and get them tired. Then MB3 can just plow over them at the end.
Of course this also needs good play by our defense, to hold their offense in check so that we can keep their defense on the field.
Bottomline: Our system works great the way we have it.
