Thanks for this. Fantastic. I remember back then being so happy the Packers beat the 49ers. I didn't think we could beat them. But when the Packers did, I knew we were going to the SB. Even though the game was close, I knew we were beating the Packers. Because we always beat that team.

Favre, as usual, threw some of the worst backbreaking picks of all time. Not just normal interceptions, rookie ******* picks. Like he has done throughout his career. Yet he's in the HOF.

Man thanks for that. I miss that brand of football! Like everything else, they don’t build em like they used to. That was some of the last tough real football games before the nfl came in and made it soft.

Honestly I thought they would win more. Considering how things have gone since those glory days, I so wish they would have. Damn Jerry.

That was the last great game we saw from the 90’s Cowboys. They played subpar two weeks later in Tempe, and only won because Neil O’Donnell and Corey Holliday were apparently on two different planets. The next season it all fell apart.

I heard an interesting stat on Favre during the Cowboys/Panthers game back in 2006. Romo's first start. For the entire time Favre was with the packers, he never came back from a 14 point deficit during the regular season. He finally did it with either the Jets or Vikings. Not because he gets nervous. It's because he's impatient. Tries to play hero ball and makes a bad situation worse.
