Starting center

Everyone here favors Farniok for the same reasons I do. It's crystal clear who is the better Center. It truly must be eating you up to be the sole Biadasz supporter acting like a clown on this thread.

I mean he appears to do everything better. I'm not sure where you put a check mark next to TB when grading.

Biadasz didn't play at all last night. Does that mean he is definitely the starting center? I would guess so.

I thought Farinok played well. Made some nice second level blocks.

At this point I still question which one has the higher upside.

yes.

Biadasz is the C1.

he was a Rimington trophy winner for a reason.

@xwalker

Following up on the play I mentioned. Just before 10 minute mark of the 3rd. He looked a little lost there.

I watched him almost exclusively all game, and got a second look while searching for this play......I shouldn't have as much as mentioned this, because he really played well last night....especially run blocking.

Worst case we have a very solid backup at all three interior positions.
I wonder
I would like to see Farniok start a regular season game but I see the coaches logic of not making a change unless Farniok is clearly an upgrade.

Having rookie Tyler Smith at LG also causes coaches to prefer the more experienced player at OC.
Farniok is also valuable as a versatile backup. Biadisz is not.

Par for the course for most Cowboy fans. Most have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. I have been laughing at these types for 3 years now as Biadasz continues to start at center beating out all comers.

3 years?

He’s only played two seasons and was a starter for just one of them. Looney was starter ahead of him and he was not good. Last year a 7th round rookie was his only competition so who exactly has he “beat out”?

Well in fairness management must be OK with him? They haven't exactly gone out and tried to upgrade him in any way. I would think if it were a priority to the coaching staff a veteran would have been brought in this past off season. Seems clear to me they are giving him this year at least without much competition. Farniok had one good game and people are losing their minds. Biadasz is not in danger of losing his job for awhile barring injury.

:hammer::hammer:

Believe your eyes bro. Farniok definitely gets to the 2nd level much more often and creates more running lanes for our RBs. It's favoritism for Biadasz at this point that Farniok is not starting.

I thought Farinok starting is not so much they have gone to Tyler B in regular season. It could be an open competition that will finalize in Seattle game. I did think think the OLine looked better overall last night .

Bringing in a veteran is not part of the front office's MO. It seems to be vet-min only for outside free agents with few exceptions.

And I've not said Farniok should start. I still think Biadasz is our guy for the time being. I've just said I thought he had a higher ceiling which isn't that outlandish IMO. You've got to remember that Farniok in college played all over the place but mostly right tackle, he's not got anywhere near Biadasz's level of experience at center. I see Biadiasz as a middling NFL starting OC, probably playing close to or at his potential now. Farniok on the other hand is raw, but a much better athlete and IMO we are seeing him gain ground on Biadasz as he learns the position. He's not there yet, but that's not to say he won't be soon. It'd be hard to take Biadasz's spot mid-season considering the benefits that come with continuity and the need to get communication right but I could see it happening in the future.

Ive had these types claim that Connor Williams would beat him out, MGovern could play center, and Farniok the last two years. I also heard Lindstrom would beat him out. I even had people wanting to resign Looney.

Biadasz has beaten them all and will continue to do so until we get something other than undrafted FA's and 7th round picks.

Farniok climbs to the second level better than Badiasz. That fact alone should make Farniok our starter. They are neck and neck at pass protection, but the backup should be the lesser of the two. And that's Badiasz, right now.
against 2s and 3s , sure

how about we don't lose perspective on Preseason vs RS and the fact that teams start running far more schemes like stunts and the like a lot of switching in the RS..show me Farniok against those defenses with the starters. :)

IN Preseason against the 2s 3s and 4s sure nice games :))

Farniok has more awareness of what the D is doing,imo Biadasz makes too many mistakes.

That will come in time.

Farniok has impressed in the conditions he's allowed to play in while others in same situation have not been as productive, even you cannot deny that.

wont be the firist to shine in pS and not do as well against the big boys..so TB job is to lose and doubt he will be replaced but nice to know Farniok can be swing guy and come in if and when needed. depth is good.
