Starting Defense Sunday Night

Didn't see a post but going into Sunday night's game who will be the starting 11 on Defense.

My crack at it

DT- Williams and Clark
DE- D Eze
LB- Gary, Overshown, Winters
CB- Bland, Durant
S- Thompson, Hooker
Slot/Rover- Downs

Just my thought. We are pretty deep at LB.

I don't know if "deep" is the word i'd use but there's some decent potential there but how good they are depends on how good Barnham ends up being and Overshown how healthy. The floor is much higher than last year but the ceiling is all health dependent.

There will a good rotation as well. All eyes will be on Defesne other than how Bass does filling in for Smith.

I'm no coach, but I don't think Gary is a LBer. I think he's a DE. I think Dee will be a LBer and Gary the other DE.

Gary & Ezeiraku are OLBs in this scheme. In the nickel they will be in a 4 man front and look more like a typical end accept they might stand up like an OLB. Typically they are called OLB or EDGE.

Ogbonnia is a 4i in the 3-4 and is considered an end while Williams position looks kind of like an end but he's still a 3t DT in the scheme. Clark is a NT (base) or 1t DT (nickel)

WInters, Overshown, Barham are off ball linebackers or inside linebackers. At least most of the time. They might move Barham or Overshown around some.

It depends on how you take the comment. Could Fred Warner get hurt? Sure. Do I expect him to? No. Do I expect Overshown to stay healthy? No.

Yes, not so much about the starting 11. They can switch that up. It is the rotation of 15 or 16.

This is about what, who plays on the first play?

They are going to use a rotation of probably 16-18 on defense depending on the down and distance, and keeping DL fresh.

Yeah, look more like a 4-3 with Gary/Clark/Q/Eze down or on LOS.
