Woods & Crawford were very solid against Seattle. When they were in the game together, Seattle was not able to do much rushing between the tackles at all. Woods did a really nice job holding up against double teams & Crawford was also stout against the run.
Crawford was disruptive as a pass rusher as well.
With Collins hopefully back soon & bonehead coming back off of suspension the DT rotation could be looking really nice.

Crawford got screwed on that roughing call. Perfect form and how is he supposed to know the ball has been released.

If they are going to call this crap , then the QB should be down when touched. I see Carson Wentz breaking tackles and throwing it as hes going down. But if the defender attacks him aggressively it will be a flag for roughing.

A guy for Miami tore his ACL yesterday because he rolled over when tackling the QB so he wouldn't land on him. His leg got caught and his season lost.

But the NFL only cares about safety when it comes to the QBs and star players.

If you watch Woods on film break downs he is engulfing 2 blockers on almost every play. He is clearing out lanes for the LBs to blitz or shoot the Gaps on running plays. Crawford is reaping the benefits of Woods outstanding job in the trenches. I only hope that when Irving returns, that both Irving and Crawford will be prolific at pass rushing from the DT position. I am very pleased with D-Law and Taco holding down the DE spots. The defense is solid especially at DT. It is weird that I am say the D-line is great, because that was not the case a few years ago.

Dallas has a stable of War Daddies.

Woods is really allowing the LBs to stay clean on a lot of plays. He really proves the impact of a good 1 tech. Surprisingly Crawford playing in the 270s actually seems to be better for him. He hasn't lost much power & he is noticeably quicker than in the last few years.
His playing weight was 273lbs in 2014 IIRC.

Believe either Broadus or Eatman mentioned the other day that they're planning on moving Crawford back to the starting end position once Irving comes back and is ready, so there's that!

I like what Crawford is doing this season at DT. I think the two best DEs are D-Law and Taco. I am not sold on Gregory, therefore if Crawford rotates at the DE spot then that's fine also. I think for the line to be successful then the rotation has be stout from top to bottom. When the Nascar package comes in on pass plays, I think the team has to find a way to get D-LAW, Taco, Crawford and Irving on the field and all fresh. Woods and Collins are just as valuable even though their work does not show up on the stat sheet.

Yup.

We once again fell into a nice NT, and BLAM, suddenly our D is better. Think they actually noticed this time? Or is Nick Hayden available?

And for those of you who keep repeating ad nauseum that Marinate don't like big NT's....Ppphhhhhhhhtttttttttttt.

Because we finally got the missing piece, the NT.

Seriously, Marinate is stinkin' blind if he hasn't noticed the value of a gap plugging one tech.

They were keeping Woods in the game even on some of those third downs when they were bringing the LBs on blitzes.

It's certainly not Crawford!
Funny how that is, we played Crawford at DT where he should be w/ a prototypical NT next to him, and it turns out Craws is pretty decent.

I swear, you have to hit this org in head w/ brick after brick after brick to get something through to them.

Having a big NT makes everything work better on D.

Because you still gotta stop up the middle.

Honestly, IMO, the only NT's who need to come off the field on 3rd down are the big stiffs like Josh Brent, guys who do nothing but fill a spot.

NTs don't often show up on the stat sheet but they help control the LOS.
Hard to do that without a good one.

It sure does, notice how our DEs have a cleaner path to the QB and the LBs have cleaner lanes to the RB. It's almost like this is how defenses are meant to work.

Nice to have players that aren't 3 techs on the roster. Why we collect 3 techs and ignore other positions I'll never quite understand.
