A healthy Carson Palmer would be great.

From what I've seen, he's been phenomenal (for the past year)

What's it going to be then, eh?

A healthy Carson Palmer. Closest thing to Aikman since the original.

FYI, I purposely left Peyton and Tom off.

Fair enough, except I already voted for other. In that case I would take Carson Palmer.

1. Hasslebeck - hes coming into his own and i feel hes going to be a solid starter for seattle.

2. Palmer - although he throws to a top 3 WR in the league and the rest of his surroundings are solid id love to have him start here, he could be big.

3. Leftwich - he throws to a somewhat weak WR corpse (J. Williams is the only solid target, IMO) and still displays talent, he has a strong arm as well.

4. Delhomme - same as hasslebeck but not on the same level.

5. McNabb - he has been injury prone last two years, but he is probably the most talented QB on here.

6. Bledsoe - hes solid and has experience. he fits in well here.

7. Culpepper - i like him more than vick and Big Ben.

8. Big Ben - he has been to the superbowl, he didnt do all to well. but ill take him since hes young.

9. Vick - scrambling QBs dont win superbowls. PERIOD.

btw im disregarding other since this seems to be all about the middle - low end of the top QBs. otherwise id take Brady and Manning over any of these.

Roethlisberger any day. Young, smart decision making, big! can scramble when needed, great QB.

1) Hasslebach: a product of a great offensive system that had a top 3 offensive line and the league MVP at running back. Will come crashing down to earth now that Hutchison is gone.

Final Synopsis: A Peyton Manning wannabee with an solid arm.

2.) Palmer: Really came on last season, still in growth mode, but suffered a devestating injury in his first playoff game.

Final Synopsis: If he recovers from his injury he might develop into one of the leagues best for years to come.

3.) Leftwich: has been somewhat of a dissapointment, has shown flashes, but way too injury prone.

Final Synopsis: Likely on the way to a mediorce career marked by injury and falling short in big games.

4.) Delhomme: late round gem, came out of nowhere and has had a great career, 1 superbowl and another NFC championship game, lifetime QB rating in the playoffs isn't too shabby either.

Final Synopsis: Rock solid QB and a gritty competitor, might be on his way to a championship in the next few years.

5.) Vick: Nothing more than hype, can't pass, takes a lot of sacks, makes a lot of stupid plays

Final Synopsis: great running back, horrible quarterback

6.) McNabb: 4 NFC championships, 1 superbowl....but that's likely the likely the peak of his career. Hopefully he comes back healthy to keep Philly competitive

Final Synopsis: above average in most areas, but a big game choker

7.) Culpepper: Put up great numbers with Moss, but fumbles the ball way too much, sex boat fiasco tarnished reputation.

Final Synopsis: Might have a chance to make noise in weak AFC East if he comes back healthy with the dolphins.

8.) Roethlisberger: 15-2 as a starter his rookie campaign, superbowl victory in year 2....in the end success came from a great TEAM system predicated on one of the best running games/offensive lines in the league, and dominant defense.

Final Synopsis: Might go on to be an all time great, might fade into obscurity once the Steelers begin to decline in the next few seasons.

Drew Bledsoe: God among men

I misunderstood the excercize. I thought it was a question of whether we are ok with Bledsoe, or if we would like to trade for someone else. I think Bledsoe is good enough, and I wouldn't give up the necessary people to get the other QBs.

But if we are talking about a costless decision, I'll take Palmer.

I assume the purpose of the thread is to downgrade Bledsoe. You've got a lot of younger mostly Pro Bowl level players he's being compared with. Bledsoe won't get a lot of love on this poll nor should he, certainly not if the premise is anything other than a one or two year time frame. Although he might do quite a bit better if the poll published the cap #'s each player carries.

If we firm up the line and with the addition of TO Bledsoe may end up as the biggest bargain of the group this year, if not the best performer.

DL, I've read a lot of your post lately and I realize your not a sheep here! I like that....good to see other people realize what is going on at this message board and aren't afraid to speak their mind.

Of course a guy like Palmer is much younger and has his whole career ahead of him if he comes back healthy, but still if we are talking about the present....no way I'm taking him over Bledsoe.

I'm telling you, hasslebach is one of the most overrated players in the league....put bledsoe behind that line last year and they might have went 19-0.

Hasslebach is solid, but he's not elite....my guess is he will be exposed with Hutchison lost to FA, and Alexander going the way of a fatcat now that he signed his big extension.

Also remember past history, the NFC team that has made the superbowl the last 5+ years has failed to even make the playoffs the next.....something to think about.
