(This may be important in the Viking/Eagles game next week.)

Tough game, new injury for T-Jack
October 22nd, 2007 – 1:04 PM by Kevin Seifert

Adding injury to insult, the Vikings revealed today that QB Tarvaris Jackson has an avulsion fracture of the middle finger on his right hand, suffered midway through yesterday’s 24-14 loss at Dallas.

The joint is sore and swollen, coach Brad Childress said, and medical officials will evaluate it after a throwing session Tuesday before deciding Jackson’s status for Sunday’s game against Philadelphia. But coming after a 6-for-19 performance against the Cowboys, Jackson might have inadvertantly given Childress an excuse to elevate Kelly Holcomb back into the starting lineup.

We’ll keep you updated on this story as the day progresses.

I saw him hold his hand about that time. I wonder if he hit it on someones helmet or pads on his follow through.

They are better off with Holcomb in my opinion, he's a capable vet, took Cleveland to the playoffs in 2004.
