What are your projected stats for Dez, Austin, and RW? And I suppose Witten?

Mine are:

Austin: 1200, 10TDs

Bryant: 900, 6TDs

Williams: 750, 7TDs

Witten: 1000, 4TDs

Otree?good stats...but romo will have more tds ofcourse passing to felix and choice outta the backfield...and let's hope MartyB can do his thing this year.

I know this one will take alot of heat, but just look at the talent on this team & the fact I believe we will become a heavy-pass team, around him before you quote me and call me a homer.

Tony Romo - 40 Passing TDS, 5000 Yards, under 10 interceptions.
Miles Austin - 1,250+ Yards, 10+ Tds.
Witten - 1,100+ Yards, 5+ Tds.
Williams - 700 Yards, 8 Tds.
Bennett - 400 Yards, 5 tds.
Bryant - 750 Yards, 6 Tds.
K-O - 250 yards, 2 tds.
Crayton - 350 Yards, 2 tds.
Hurd - 100 yards?, 1 td?
Phillips - 100 yards, 1 td.

= 5000 yards passing. Im really trying not be a homer, this has Witten producing more than last year, Williams around the same, Austin producing less than last year. Bryant having a darn-fine rookie season.

You play way too many video games, kid.

Bro, I don't see anything wrong with that list though. I didn't put farfetched anything, all I have is Bennett improving and adding Bryant + Crayton having around 350 less yards than last year. Its not like I said 2k yards for Miles w 20 tds.

Last year Romo had what 4500 yards passing, correct? Add Bryant he has to be atleast 600-700. That brings Romo over 5000.

and im a beast in madden, I just started a new season yesterday and played every-game on pro passed to Austin on every-play if he was open or not. 16-0 with 5500 yards passing for Romo, 5500 yards receiving for Miles. (ofc I did 3 minute quarters and simmed defense.)

But but, if Miles gets those numbers, he can't be "the leagues leading WR in 2010."   :cry2: :cry2: :cry2: Get it out of your sig.

I don't think its farfetched to think Romo could have 5000 yards passing.

Drew Brees did it in 2008. And he didn't have any 1000 yard receivers.

Lance Moore - 928
Devrey Henderson - 793
Marques Colston - 760
Billy Miller - 579
Jeremy Shockey - 483
Reggie Bush - 440
Robert Meachem - 289
Pierre Thomas - 284
David Patten - 162
Deuce McAllister - 128
Mark Campbell - 121
A few others below 100

Assuming we keep everyone (including or not including Crayton). I definitely don't see why we aren't deep enough to produce 5000 passing yards.

It's not out of the realm of possibility for Romo to throw for over 5000 yards. I wouldn't bet on it, but the potential is there.

You don't have Bennett improving, bro. You've got him EXPLODING. Now, again, it's not out of the realm of possibility for him to increase his production (in fact it would be hard for him NOT to), but the numbers you project (based on his past performance and the question of his dedication) don't bare those numbers to be realistic.

Could you be right? Sure, if every little nuance in every single facet of this team falls in our favor. That's not likely to happen (for even the homiest of homers).

Keep also in mind that there's a real possibility that Crayton and Hurd aren't even on this team in week one. I wouldn't count on Jesse Holley, Manny Johnson or the undrafted kid we sign to immediately scoop up those numbers.

I'm sure you're amazing at Madden video games. Unfortunately, kiddo, zero of that actually translates to real world football. I'm sure you have great drafts and FA pickups in a video game that just aren't real world possibilities. I don't know (for sure) that you've rooted all of your football knowledge from a video game or not. But, your posts certainly indicate that to be true.

I know you are young and very ambitious about your favorite team. I would never slight you for that. I actually get a little bit of a kick out your over the top enthusiasm, sometimes. But keep in mind that your on a message board filled with people that have watching and studying this game for (in many instances) twice as long as you've been alive. Sometimes your "sun always shines" posts are going to be viewed for what they are: Ignorantly blissful pipedreams. Not that there's anything wrong with that. You're 16. You're SUPPOSED to be ignorant to a certain extent (it's the natural order of things). Also Keep in mind, as you read this, that the word ignorant does not mean "stupid". Ignorance is a lack of knowledge. Every single person on this board is ignorant of something. I have no idea about political science, hence I'm ignorant to the entire concept. Ditto for Global economy, Native American basket weaving, Harley Davidson engine repair. All things that I think are kind of fascinating (well except for the basket-weaving), but I'm completely ignorant to the real world applications.

So don't think I'm jumping on your case, just pointing out that often times you flex your ignorance (maybe even not so much in this case) and wonder why no one takes you seriously.

Peace, punko.:wink2:

Amazingly well said. However, it will _still_ be taken the wrong way.

I understand what you are saying, but what im saying is that the potential for us to pass for 5000 yards is there and I believe likely, he asked for stat predictions and I gave him mine.

I know I flex ignorance at times, but this is not one of them. Its possible we will reach 5000 yards passing next year.

See ya'll Monday at 6am, ill wakeup bright and early to catchup on missed posts.

It's probably a good idea to look at the upcoming schedule before making thse predictions. It's no cakewalk.

Which means there will likely be even better passing numbers because we'll have to be putting up a lot of points.

I'll tell you guys one thing. Dez is the Offensive rookie of the year. If not him, Mccluster.

Crayton has to go to maximize his production though.

yeah we are facing a tougher season with tougher D's then we faced last year.
I also do not see Bennett producing much since now he would be about the 5th choice. Cut everything back about 10% as regards yards; 27-30 TDs sound about right. 5 tds and 700 yds would be an outstanding rookie season for Bryant. The real question mark is of course Roy.

And how we deal with the Red Zone problems we had last year.
